Perfect for runners who are a few months out from a half marathon or marathon/ultramarathon runners looking to increase their weekly training load without increasing their duration. 

Due to the high workload, sub-threshold running allows you to get a sizeable metabolic stimulus. Still, the mechanical stimulus is relatively low since you’re not running much faster than your marathon pace.
