5x 1min @ 3km pace (Z6) | 1:30min rest

2km cool down

A great 5km preparation session for anyone who struggles with the final 1km of a 5km race. This session aims to develop your tolerance to exercise while under a high lactate load. This situation mimics the last 1km of a 5km race where you’re running well above your lactate threshold from the beginning causing a build-up of lactate. Try to hold the same pace/power output for all the 1min efforts.
